Lakers News: Viral Rondae-Hollis Jefferson Highlights Have Kobe Bryant Fans in Awe

As the FIBA Basketball World Cup is going on right now, big performances from players around the world are happening every day.
Big games from current Lakers like Austin Reaves are helping Team USA to hopefully win the team's sixth FIBA World Cup.
However, social media was taken by storm this weekend as a former NBA player was very reminiscent of the late great Kobe Bryant.
Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, former NBA first-round pick, was mesmerizing fans as his look and playstyle reminded them of the late Hall of Famer.

The 6'6 frame, no. 24, armband, and shaved head brought some great memories back for many basketball fans. The only main difference between the two is that Hollis Jefferson is a lefty, so fans took it upon themselves to mirror the video for an even better comparison.

In this game, Hollis Jefferson ended with 24 points on the night with 9 rebounds as Jordan lost a tough battle with Greece 92-71. The 28-year-old former NBA player followed up this performance by dropping 39 points and 9 rebounds against New Zealand in an overtime loss that ended 95-87.
This came days after Mamba Day to celebrate the 45th birthday of Kobe Bryant. The biggest news of the day was that Bryant would be getting his statue outside of Crypto.com Arena on February 8, 2024.
While Rondae Hollis-Jefferson and his Jordan team are not doing well in the FIBA World Cup, he is turning heads.
Last playing in the NBA in 2021, the big performances on this international stage may draw some eyes to the still-young former first-round pick out of Arizona.
If nothing comes out of these games at least fans were able to cherish some Black Mamba-esque play on the court.
