Another game against the Sacramento Kings, another loss for the Los Angeles Lakers. It's become the story of the season for the Lakers whenever they play against the Kings, as they dropped another game to the Kings on Wednesday night.

It was a close contest at halftime, but the Kings dismantled them once the third quarter started. Poor performances from both Anthony Davis and LeBron James made it almost impossible to keep up with the strong offensive attack of Sacramento, leading to a disappointing defeat.

Both stars know that they didn't perform up to par, but they didn't make excuses. They did point to the offensive rebounds that the Kings were able to grab as the main reason why they lost once again.

The Kings outscoring the Lakers 16-4 in second-chance points is a clear sign of trouble. Sacramento is too good of a team to be given multiple opportunities to score the basketball and the Lakers couldn't stop them.

Going up against teams like the Kings, the Lakers have struggled to contain the offenses without many good point-of-attack defenders on the roster. It's been an issue all season long for this squad and has now become part of their identity, for better or worse.

The Lakers lost the season series to the Kings, going 0-4 against them. At this point, all they can do is hope to not see Sacramento in any potential playoff matchup.

Los Angeles is good enough to take down any team in the league when they are clicking on all cylinders, but they are also prone to losing some bad games. This game against the Kings was another reminder of how far this team may be from reaching their goals and with only a short time remaining in the season, the Lakers may be in for a grim reality.
