Lakers News: Los Angeles Announces Change To Game Schedule

An update!

Your Los Angeles Lakers have announced a minor tweak to their fifth game of the 2023-24 preseason, a homecourt matchup with All-NBA superstar power forward Giannis Antetokounmpo and his Milwaukee Bucks, on LA's official team site.

The Crypto.com Arena bout, scheduled for Saturday, October 15th, is seeing its tipoff time shifted up to 4 p.m. PT.

Given that this will mark the fifth preseason contest of the year (Los Angeles will play six), a wholly meaningless exhibition game, it's also unclear exactly how much or how little any actual stars will see the floor.

Los Angeles stars LeBron James and Anthony Davis are all in their thirties, as are Bucks starters Jrue Holiday, Khris Middleton and ex-Laker Brook Lopez. As such, it seems conceivable they play limited minutes or perhaps even none at all.

Still, it could represent an exciting opportunity for younger Lakers players, such as second-year swingman Max Christie, rookie draft picks Jalen Hood-Schifino and Maxwell Lewis, and two-way signings Colin Castleton, D'Moi Hodge and Alex Fudge, to get some major run.

Tickets for the event can be procured right here.
