Magic Johnson Reveals Which Lakers Personnel Reached Out Following NFL Team Purchase
Magic Johnson has been able to make the most of his NBA earnings and legacy long after his playing days by becoming an investor in numerous companies, sports teams and businesses. At the end of the day, he is one of the greatest players that ever suited up for the Los Angeles Lakers and he's made it a point to learn the business world as best as possible and become someone that people prioritize trying to get him to sign off on their ideas.
Johnson already made this clear after he cashed in on a percentage of the Los Angeles Dodgers but he is also now a part-owner of the Washington Commanders and has officially made way into the NFL world. The multi-time NBA champion has made it clear that he wants to help transcend the organization both on and off the field and give the Commanders community a safer and better environment than ever before.
One thing is for sure and that is that the Lakers community could not be more proud of Johnson for pulling off such an amazing move and taking a big step in his post-basketball career. He actually spoke on some of the prominent individuals in his life that reached out to him after news broke of his deal with the Commanders and even though he could not recall everybody, Lakers president Jeanie Buss and advisor Kurt Rambis were mentioned.
"I can’t retrieve all the messages. It was from around the world, people from everywhere, man, congratulating me. I would say thank you to the Lakers, because they reached out, starting with
Jeanie Buss
. Linda and Kurt [Rambis] sent me a beautiful message. So many entertainers. So many great people who are just fans or friends. Also, a lot of politicians from D.C. It’s just been amazing."

It's great to see them supporting one another after all these years!
