Lakers Injury Report: Availability Of Stars Finalized In Houston
Your 39-38 Los Angeles Lakers will have their full compliment of healthy starters tonight against the 19-59 Houston Rockets, per the league's latest injury report.
Lakers All-Star LeBron James, who had been questionable to play today as he recovers from a torn right foot tendon, will suit up after all. Center Anthony Davis, considered probable to play after rolling his ankle on Friday against the Minnesota Timberwolves, will indeed join LBJ in LA's starting five.
Reserve Los Angeles center Mo Bamba remains unavailable with a left high ankle sprain. Two-way point guard Scotty Pippen Jr. is getting in reps with the Lakers' NBAGL affiliate, the South Bay Lakers.
On Houston's side of the equation, both the Rockets' two-way players, power forward Darius Days and point guard Trevor Hudgins, are out. Small forward Jae'Sean Tate is sidelined with a sore left knee. Rookie point guard TyTy Washington Jr., selected with the No. 29 pick in the 2022 draft out of Kentucky, is on assignment with Houston's NBAGL affiliate club, the Rio Grande Valley Vipers.
Even with two mostly healthy rosters, the Rockets find themselves at a massive talent disadvantage. Houston boasts several high-level draft picks and intriguing young players, but the on-court product just isn't that competitive yet.
