Lakers News: Watch Brand New Trailer For Season 2 Of HBO’s “Winning Time” Series
The hit HBO show "Winning Time" is set to return for a second season in just a few months! In the middle of the show originally airing, HBO renewed the series for another season due to the success and the first episode of the new season is scheduled to air on August 6, 2023.

The first season focused on the 1979-1980 NBA season that saw Dr. Jerry Buss take over as the Lakers owner and Magic Johnson's rookie year. Fans saw the ups and downs from the Lakers during that year and finally the team capturing the title with a win over the Philadelphia 76ers.
The second season looks to dive more on the teams dominance during the 1980s, specifically looking at the rivalry with the Boston Celtics. The dynamic between Johnson and Celtics legend Larry Bird will also be a strong topic of focus. If anything, it will be a great viewing for Laker fans to relive the glory days of the 80s.
While the show was a major hit, it wasn't without faults. Many former Laker players from those times have criticized the show for inaccuracies and wrong portrayals of them. However, creator Max Borenstein had stood by his work.
The series is highly anticipated and will likely draw in a ton of viewers once again. I for one can't wait for this to drop and will b tuning in every week!
