In this story:

1. MAGIC SHOWS GROWTH

“We were in the exact same scenario the last time we played them,” head coach Jamahl Mosley said. “There were no heads hanging. Our guys had a level of resiliency about them. They were decisive in their decisions. They communicated with one another. They sat down and guarded. Our guys did a great job of showing the growth from one game to the next.”

2. SEASON SAVED?

"With just 14 games to go, 12 of which come against playoff hopefuls, the odds are stacked against the Magic. But if the team can pull out wins like it did Saturday night over the course of the final four weeks of the season, Orlando may just save its season after all."

3. PAOLO, FULTZ TRUSTING ONE ANOTHER

"The Orlando Magic is the No. 13 seed in the NBA Eastern Conference, and while they are not serious contenders yet, the harvest of its farming system has brought forth promising fruit. Among its brightest young talent, Paolo Banchero and Markelle Fultz have played well, and raved about their camaraderie with one another."

4. FRANZ WAGNER HURTS ANKLE

"Franz Wagner, who has been arguably the team's best player this season, suffered a right ankle injury during the fourth quarter of Saturday night's game against the Miami Heat.

"Wagner did not return to the game and will undergo further evaluation."

5. NEXT MAGIC GAME

The Magic will return to the court tomorrow night at home against the rebuilding San Antonio Spurs at 8:00 p.m. You can watch in-market on Bally Sports Florida or out-of-market on NBA League Pass.
