Heat SG Tyler Herro, Magic Ex Coach Stan Van Gundy Take Shots at Each Other

Former Orlando Magic coach Stan Van Gundy is in a war of words with Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro.
In this story:

ORLANDO - The Miami Heat has played without starting shooting guard Tyler Herro for majority of the team's playoff run after he broke his finger in Game 1 of the team's first round series against the Milwaukee Bucks.

The Heat has done well without Herro, but Miami's three consecutive losses to the Boston Celtics after leading the series 3-0 puts the team on the brink of elimination in a decisive seventh game on the road at TD Garden tomorrow night.

Herro's return would be welcomed, and former Orlando Magic coach Stan Van Gundy poked fun at the Heat shooting guard and his fashion taste.

It turned into a back-and-forth between Herro and Van Gundy.

Context matters, and it's hard to see why Van Gundy would actually be mad at Herro, even if his comments were unnecessary. That being said, Herro took it a step forward instead of laughing it off, which warrants the criticism Van Gundy gave in his final response.

That being said, Van Gundy had moments in his career where he deserved praise. Van Gundy went 259-135 in five seasons with the Magic, compiling a playoff berth and winning record every season in Orlando. He also led the Magic to its most recent Finals appearance back in 2009.
