NBA Free Agency: Warriors' Donte DiVincenzo to Magic?

Golden State Warriors guard Donte DiVincenzo has been linked to the Orlando Magic in free agency.

ORLANDO - The Orlando Magic is a dark horse for one of the league's biggest role players on the open market.

According to HoopsHype's Michael Scotto, the Magic is among the teams interested in Golden State Warriors guard Donte DiVincenzo.

"Donte DiVincenzo could land a new contract worth somewhere around the non-taxpayer mid-level exception and is drawing significant interest around the league from several teams, including the New York Knicks, Minnesota Timberwolves, Detroit Pistons, New Orleans Pelicans, Houston Rockets, Orlando Magic, and Chicago Bulls, league sources told HoopsHype," Scotto writes.

DiVincenzo, 26, averaged 9.4 points per game with the Warriors last season on a two-year contract with a player option for 2023-24, and it's possible that he could look for more of a long-term deal this summer.

The Magic could benefit from DiVincenzo's three-point shooting. He shot nearly 40 percent in his lone season with the Warriors last year. That number would have ranked him second on the Magic behind Gary Harris.

DiVincenzo also has championship experience, winning the 2021 NBA title with the Milwaukee Bucks and the 2018 NCAA Tournament with the Villanova Wildcats.

Free agency kicks off at 6 p.m., where all 30 teams can begin negotiating and reaching verbal agreements with players in and out of the organization.
