NBA Standings: Can Magic Reach 50-Win Mark?

The Orlando Magic are 39-28. Can the team win 50 games this season?
In this story:

ORLANDO - The Orlando Magic have just four weeks left in the regular season and they are trying to get as many wins as possible in order to avoid the Play-In Tournament and grab a top-six seed.

With 39 wins, the Magic needs to go just 11-4 in the final 15 games to reach that 50-win goal. However, Bleacher Report believes Orlando will fall just short at 48-34.

"Between Orlando's fourth-ranked defense and the club's seemingly insatiable energy, the Magic can will their way to a lot of wins. And when that's not enough, they can often rely on rising star Paolo Banchero to get them over the proverbial hump," Bleacher Report writes. "There may be some ugly moments along the way, but Orlando will emerge with a top-six seed."

Orlando's schedule is favorable enough to flirt with that 50-win mark. Out of the final 15 games of the season, 10 of them come at home, including their next eight games overall. Only three of these games come against teams with 40 or more wins ... two of those are against the Milwaukee Bucks, which are the final three games of the season when they may be resting for the postseason.

Even by falling just below 50 wins, the Magic could very well grab a top-six seed. And with a 14-game improvement from the year before, Orlando has plenty to celebrate. The Magic would snap a four-year postseason drought, making the playoffs for the first time since the 2020 COVID bubble.

Free Agency: Suns' Allen to Magic?

The Magic return to the floor tomorrow night against the Toronto Raptors. Tipoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. ET.
