All-Star Paolo Banchero 'Glad' to Be with Magic
When the Orlando Magic selected Paolo Banchero with the first overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, the team was confident that it was making the right decision.
The young forward made his first All-Star Game this year and has been one of the many bright spots in this impressive season for the Magic. Banchero talked about how happy he is to be in Orlando in an interview with Taylor Rooks.
"I'm glad to be an Orlando Magic," Banchero said. "When I first got drafted, everybody was wondering... was I the right pick? I'm just happy that I am where I am and that it's working out. We're a special group and we've got some special guys, and we're heading in the right direction."
Banchero is averaging 23 points, seven rebounds, and five assists so far this season, as he is doing everything imaginable on the court for the Magic. He has led the team to the five-seed in the Eastern Conference, and he is only 21 years old.

If he can keep up this level of play, then he and the rest of the Magic could use their great team chemistry to make some noise in the last part of the regular season and the playoffs.
Banchero and the Magic will be back in action tonight at home against Tyrese Haliburton and the Indiana Pacers. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m. ET from the Kia Center.
