ORLANDO - The Orlando Magic is rolling with a seven-game winning streak and one player who has been seeing more playing time of late is second-year forward Caleb Houstan.

Houstan has seen more meaningful minutes in Orlando's last two games. The second-year forward out of Michigan played just under nine minutes and had a steal plus two rebounds in the Magic's 113-96 win over the Boston Celtics on Friday at the Amway Center.

Houstan played his second-most minutes of the season on Sunday in the Magic's 130-117 win over the Charlotte Hornets at the Amway Center and finished the game with six points and two rebounds in just over 12 minutes of play.

Houstan's play was praised by Orlando head coach Jamahl Mosley, who credited his demeanor and work ethic.

"Caleb just has a maturity about him. He’s always in the right position defensively," Mosley said. "Offensively, he learns and knows how to space the floor. He’s a professional. When you talk about a guy that works, he works at it every single day. Whether he’s gonna play one minute or 10 minutes, he’s gonna work the exact same way."

Fellow second-year forward Paolo Banchero also had high praise for Houstan, who was taken in the second round in the same draft as him. Banchero noted how Houstan hasn't changed since they were both drafted by the Magic.

"He's been the same ever since we got drafted together," Banchero said. "His work ethic, the way he comes in every day, his plays, always productive, always efficient... I'm not surprised because he comes in every morning [and] does the same routine. ... It's like clockwork."

If Houstan can continue to impress, more meaningful minutes could be on the horizon for him.
