Orlando Magic PG Cole Anthony Jokes With Teammates After Big Win: 'Built Like Substitute Teachers!'
The Orlando Magic got its biggest win of the season over the Boston Celtics on Friday night, and the team was feeling good and joking around after the game.
Two of the biggest factors so far for the Magic this season have been Joe Ingles and Moritz Wagner off the bench. The two have played key roles in the second unit for the team, and Cole Anthony joked about them in his postgame interview after Friday's win.
"Man, they can play basketball, I'll tell you that," Anthony said. "They both built like substitute teachers, but dang, they can play. Mo was terrific tonight, he did a great job of attacking. I'll be honest, he probably should've had about 40, I missed him on a few, but I don't think he'll be mad at 30."
Wagner finished the game with 27 points shooting 9 of 13 from the field, and was absolutely the difference-maker in the Magic's commanding win in the In-Season Tournament game against the Celtics. He is third in the NBA so far this season in field goal percentage, and he is doing all of his work off the bench with the second unit.
While Ingles has not scored the most points so far this season, he provides something that nobody else on the Magic really can. The veteran presence that Ingles brings to the team cannot be understated, as the Magic's roster is very young, and oftentimes needs the guidance of a more experience player.
