Magic Ex JJ Redick Starting Podcast with LeBron James

LeBron James is teaming up with former Orlando Magic guard JJ Redick in a new podcast.

ORLANDO - Former Orlando Magic guard JJ Redick has risen up the ranks in the basketball media world after his playing career has come to an end. Now, he looks to take another step.

According to The Athletic, Redick is set to start a basketball podcast with Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James called “Mind the Game."

“I’m really proud of what we’ve done to innovate in sports media,” James said via The Athletic. “… When I do a project, the only thing I think about is whether me and my friends would watch it. That is definitely the case with ‘Mind the Game.’ Everything doesn’t need to be designed for internet culture and clicks.”

Redick and James are looking to talk more about X's and O's and the game on the court rather than the storylines that happen off of it.

The move comes after Redick was named as an analyst for the 2024 NBA Finals on ABC, replacing Doc Rivers, who was hired by the Milwaukee Bucks in the middle of the season.

The first episode of the podcast will debut Tuesday and new episodes will come once a week.
