Magic Forward Jonathan Isaac Is a 'Game Changer', Says Coach Jamahl Mosley
Jonathan Isaac had been out of the lineup for the Orlando Magic for ten games, but in his first two games back, he is already making his presence felt.
Despite him not getting that many points, Isaac is one of those players who does things that don't always show up on the stat sheet. Head coach Jamahl Mosley talked about how much of an impact Isaac has in his postgame interview after the team's tough loss to the Atlanta Hawks.
"He does an excellent job," Mosley said. "He does a great job of protecting at the rim, changing up who he can guard, he can guard one through five. Sitting down and contesting shots, impacting all shots. Came up with some big steals down there... he is a game changer for us defensively."
NBA Report Card: Magic Make The Grade?
When Isaac is able to stay off of the injury report and on the court, he is regarded as one of the better defenders in the entire NBA. And if he can become consistent on the offensive side, he could become even bigger of a contributor for the Magic than he already is.
Isaac and the rest of the Magic will be back in action in the first game of a three-game home stand on Friday against Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. ET in Kia Center.
