Magic PF Jonathan Isaac 'Definitely Feels More Comfortable' with Offensive Game

Jonathan Isaac is one of the best defensive talents that the Orlando Magic has, and if he can get it going on offense, the team becomes a lot scarier.
In this story:

The Orlando Magic was able to get the win in its last game against the Brooklyn Nets, and forward Jonathan Isaac was able to contribute offensively off the bench.

Isaac is known by most for being one of the best all-around defenders in the NBA, but he was able to be the team's leading scorer off the bench in the win. He talked more about his growing mindset on offense in his postgame interview.

"I definitely feel more comfortable and I’m just out there playing basketball," Isaac said. "Kind of allowing myself to be free and be myself out there. When the shot is there, I take it and if they want me to make a move, I do it. Just trying my best to affect the game."

He finished with 11 points as well as three rebounds and two blocks coming off the bench. He also shot a very efficient 4-6 from the field and 3-5 from beyond the arc. The Magic could be a different team if Isaac starts knocking down shots consistently, and head coach Jamahl Mosley knows that.

"Well, he’s putting the work in and I think that’s been great," Mosley said in his postgame conference. "His ability to continue to know what he’s able to do defensively: guard multiple positions, protect at the rim, finish possessions with the rebound. But then you know, [our] guys are finding him in those corners, and he’s continued to put that work in to be able to allow his shot to fall."

Isaac and the rest of the Magic will be back in action on the road tonight against the Toronto Raptors. Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET from Scotiabank Arena.
