Magic Forward Jonathan Isaac 'Working His Way Back', Says Coach Jamahl Mosley

Jonathan Isaac makes such a big impact for the Orlando Magic, but the team has to make sure that it is cautious with his playing time.

The Orlando Magic has had to deal with a lot of injuries so far this season, and it has had to manage players coming back into the rotation who might not be 100 percent.

Forward Jonathan Isaac had missed 10 straight games for the Magic until the team's game against the Oklahoma City Thunder a week ago. Head coach Jamahl Mosley talked about how the team feels about integrating Isaac back into the lineup in a recent interview.

"It’s working his way back, said Mosley. "And that's what we have to be smart with how they respond back to games being played—We wanna be smart about that."

Issac is only averaging 6.2 points per game this season, but it is everything else that he does on the court that makes him so valuable to the Magic. His ability to guard virtually every single position is a unique skill to have, and that, along with other things that he does, don't show up on the stat sheet.

The only real issue with Isaac is that he has never been able to stay on the court. He has had significant injuries throughout his career that have sidelined him for entire seasons. So if Isaac can come back from injury and stay there, he could finally make the impact that everyone on the team knows that he can.

Isaac and the rest of the Magic will be back in action on Sunday against the Miami Heat. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m. ET in the Kia Center.
