ORLANDO - The Orlando Magic knows its opponents for the inaugural NBA Cup that will take place in November and December.

The Magic has been placed in East Group C with the Boston Celtics, Toronto Raptors, Brooklyn Nets and Chicago Bulls.

East Group A consists of the Philadelphia 76ers, Cleveland Cavaliers, Atlanta Hawks, Indiana Pacers and Detroit Pistons.

East Group B has the Milwaukee Bucks, New York Knicks, Miami Heat, Washington Wizards and Charlotte Hornets.

All 30 teams will be split into six groups of five based on a random draw, three teams in the West and three in the East. Games will be played on Tuesdays and Fridays in November and will count towards the regular season record.

After the four games in group play, two home and two road contests, the top team from each group, along with a wild card from the East and West will advance to knockout play.

Those who advance past the single-elimination knockout will play the semifinals and finals in Las Vegas, and a winner will be crowned on Dec. 9. Players on the winning team will win a considerable amount of prize money.

Paolo Banchero and the Magic hopes to be the team to take home that prize money and the trophy that comes with it.
