Magic Starting 5: Ron DeSantis Donation 'Alarming' to NBA

The NBA has made a statement regarding the Orlando Magic's donation to Ron DeSantis' presidential campaign.
In this story:

1. NBA REACTS TO DESANTIS DONATION Nevertheless, the NBPA argues, “A political contribution from the Orlando Magic is alarming given recent comments and policies of its beneficiary.

"NBA governors, players and personnel have the right to express their personal political views, including through donations and statements. However. if contributions are made on behalf of an entire team, using money earned through the labor of its employees, it is incumbent upon the team governors to consider the diverse values and perspectives of staff and players.

“The Magic’s donation does not represent player support for (DeSantis).”

2. DEXTER DENNIS TO DALLAS "According to MavsDraft.com's Richard Stayman, point guard Dexter Dennis is signing an Exhibit 10 deal with the Dallas Mavericks as they look to fill out their training camp roster."

3. WHAT IF JI STAYED HEALTHY? "The idealized, healthy version of Isaac would be a perfect complementary player in Orlando's frontcourt -- particularly next to Paolo Banchero, as Isaac would take on the top defensive assignment while Banchero would perform the heavy lifting at the other end," ESPN writes.

4. PAOLO NEW NUMBER? "Banchero's FIBA jersey number has been revealed, and the NBA's reigning Rookie of The Year winner No. 8 for Team USA."

5. PAOLO VS. ANT "Edwards has worn the number at each and every level of basketball he has played. Now, he shares the number with Orlando Magic star Paolo Banchero."
