'Nobody More Deserving': Orlando Magic PG Cole Anthony Praises Jamahl Mosley on Coach of the Month Win

In a recent interview, Orlando Magic guard Cole Anthony predicted head coach Jamahl Mosley to win Eastern Conference Coach of the Month.
In this story:

No team has been as hot as the Orlando Magic as of late, and it is due in no small part to the fantastic coaching of Jamahl Mosley.

The Magic recently went on a nine-game win streak, tying the franchise record, and it is the best the team has looked in a long time. As a result of the Magic's great play, Mosley won the Eastern Conference Player of the Month, and guard Cole Anthony predicted this in a recent interview.

"I don’t think it’s even a question," Anthony said. "What more needs to be said? You see what we just did as a team and what he just did as a coach. I don’t think there’s anyone more deserving of that award."

The Magic has surprise nearly everyone with their its play so far this season, as the team is 14-6 through its first 20 games. Last season, the Magic was 5-15 through that same span of games. The team's improved play can be directly attributed to Mosley's coaching philosophy of consistency and keeping the same core group of guys.

"He deserves that," Anthony said. "He's done a great job with this team, man. He balances a lot of egos, and has done a great job of instilling these values in us."

Despite the Magic's win streak being ended by the Mikal Bridges and the Brooklyn Nets in the team's last game, there is no disputing just hoe dominant the team has been so far this season with its teamwork and unmatched chemistry.

Magic to Be Tested By 'Tough Schedule'

Mosley and the Magic will be back in action on Wednesday against Donovan Mitchell and the Cleveland Cavaliers. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. ET from Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.
