The Orlando Magic only missed the play-in tournament by a handful of games this past season, and the team looks to take that momentum into this season with a young team.

Head coach Jamahl Mosley has expressed that he likes his core group of young players, and that he wants to stick with them moving forward. This is different compared to some other teams' approaches where they try to get the absolute best players available in free agency.

Teams have had a lot of success with the mentality that Mosley has in the past, and Paolo Banchero seems to be on board too. The 2022 No. 1 overall pick expressed his confidence in the young team at the Magic's media day.

"I think we just got to be who we are," Banchero said. "And, you know, just to stick together, there's gonna be highs and lows, ups and downs throughout the year. But as long as we stay stay together as a unit, I'm confident with us going up against anybody."

With the Magic having one of the five youngest rosters in the entire NBA going by average age, there are bound to be some bumps in the road. But no team that has had success in the past went without their failures.

With a lot of the players on the Magic's roster speaking highly about its growth this offseason, it gives fans hope for the future of the franchise. That combined with the breakout year that Banchero seems to be set up for this season could lead to the Magic making more noise than expected.
