Magic Silent at Trade Deadline; Right Call?
ORLANDO - The Orlando Magic saw the trade deadline come and go without making any moves to change the roster.
It wasn't a huge surprise to see the Magic stay quiet. The team has been built on continuity and chemistry, both of which they didn't want to break in the middle of a potential playoff run.
The Magic's deadline matched what most of the league did this year ... a whole lot of nothing. Even the teams that did something only made marginal moves. Very few teams, if any, improved greatly at the deadline.
Ultimately, the Magic valued their core and kept the team together. While they could have traded players on expiring contracts like Markelle Fultz and Gary Harris, there simply wasn't a deal worth making on the open market.
The Magic could have boosted their 3-point shooting, but saw players like Buddy Hield and Doug McDermott traded elsewhere.
Coach Jamahl Mosley had his team with their heads down as the trade deadline chatter came about over the past few days.

“Just take care of what’s on our plate right now. And that’s a shootaround getting ready for San Antonio. Everything else will take care of itself,” Mosley said via Jason Beede of the Orlando Sentinel.
The Magic and Spurs are set to tip off tonight at 7 p.m. ET inside the Kia Center.
