Magic Starting 5: Admiral Schofield Re-Signs on Two-Way Deal

The Magic Insider lists five of the biggest NBA storylines in addition to relevant Orlando Magic news and analysis.
In this story:

1. SCHO SIGNS BACK "Schofield played in 37 games for the Magic this season averaging 4.7 points and was transferred to a standard deal from his two-way contract midway through the season. However, his option wasn't picked up and he became a free agent. Now, he's back in the fold."

2. MOSLEY COACHING USA BASKETBALL Orlando Magic coach Jamahl Mosley is getting in some offseason reps on the bench.

According to The Athletic, Mosley will lead the USA Select team, which will practice and scrimmage against the FIBA World Cup team, which features Magic reigning Rookie of the Year Paolo Banchero.

3. USA SELECT TEAM PLAYERS REVEALED The Select Team is expected to feature Chet Holmgren, Jalen Williams (Oklahoma City Thunder), Cade Cunningham (Detroit Pistons), Jalen Green (Houston Rockets) and Keegan Murray (Sacramento Kings) among others.

4. ANTHONY BLACK ROLE “Anthony Black may not start right away, but he will at some point of the season when it becomes evident that his size for a ball-handler, passing and defense can be effective right away,” Bleacher Report wrote. “He won’t have a set position. While he’s best on the ball, using his handle and change of pace to get to spots and his height and vision to make plays over defenders, the 6’7” Black should be interchangeable between the 1, 2 and 3."

5. JETT HOWARD UNDER PRESSURE “I do think a [Howard] a Taylor Hendricks those guys are going to have the most pressure because their fanbases are going to hate them because they’re going to say hey we took you over Cam Whitmore most fans wanted Cam in that lottery pick,” Barlowe said.
