Magic Starting 5: Trade Wendell Carter Jr.?

The Magic Insider lists five of the biggest NBA storylines in addition to relevant Orlando Magic news and analysis.
In this story:

1. WENDELL CARTER JR. TRADE RUMORS

"The Magic could take two promising rookies with the picks, but in a more likely scenario, the team can package one or both of these picks, along with a player or two to land a true star. Among the players that could be attached in a trade is Wendell Carter Jr."

2. RUSH THE PROCESS?

"There's belief in the building that the Magic can make the playoffs in 2024, but in order to do that, Orlando must improve either internally with the players that couldn't make the playoffs this past season or find a couple of external options to help out. Luckily for the Magic, the team has tremendous upside in the current pieces on the roster."

3. JARACE WALKER FITS MAGIC?

"A five-star prospect coming out of IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, Walker's one-and-done season for the Cougars strengthened his case even further to be one of the first names called."

4. NUGGETS vs. LAKERS GAME 3

Jamal Murray led the Denver Nuggets to victory in the fourth quarter of Game 2, and now he and Nikola Jokic look to take a commanding 3-0 lead against LeBron James and the Lakers at crypto.com Arena on Saturday night.

Tipoff is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. EST.

5. DRAFT COUNTDOWN

The Orlando Magic is 33 days away from the 2023 NBA Draft, where the team will welcome the newest members of the franchise.

Coverage begins on June 22 at 8 p.m. EST on ESPN.
