LISTEN: Luka Doncic, Kyrie Irving Back to Work as Mavs Face Spurs; Injury Updates

After a long NBA All-Star break, the Dallas Mavericks face the San Antonio Spurs to begin a six-game homestand. Can Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving finally get their first win as a star duo?

As great as Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving have looked as a star duo on offense in the limited two-game sample size we got to witness before the NBA All-Star break, there’s still something they haven’t been able to do together -- win a game.

Doncic and Irving have a great opportunity to change that on Thursday night as the Dallas Mavericks (31-29) take on the lottery-bound San Antonio Spurs (14-45) to start a six-game homestand at American Airlines Center.

On this episode of the Mavs Step Back Podcast, we preview Thursday’s game, where Dallas is favored by 13.5 points. We also give a full injury report update, including the slightly-delayed return of Maxi Kleber, who was initially expected to return after the All-Star break.

After the Mavs and Spurs square off, Dallas will turn its attention to LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday. The game will tip-off at 2 p.m. CT on ABC, and it’s one of the highest-priced NBA matchups this week due to the star power involved.
