In this story:

From now through Jan. 20, NBA fans will be able to vote for their favorite players to be starters in the 2024 NBA All-Star Game in Indianapolis. For Dallas Mavericks fans specifically, that means trying to get Luka Doncic, Kyrie Irving, and possibly others into the All-Star Game as a starter.

So how does it work? Go to NBA.com or the NBA app (iOS or Android) to place one vote per player per day. And if you have an account on NBA.com, you can login with your NBA ID to triple your votes on the following days: Monday, Dec. 25, 2023, Monday, Jan. 1, 2024, Friday, Jan. 5, 2024, Friday, Jan. 12, 2024, Monday, Jan. 15, 2024 and Friday, Jan. 19, 2024.

In 26 games for the Mavs, Doncic is on an MVP pace, averaging 32.7 points, 8.4 rebounds and 9.1 assists while shooting 48.5 percent overall and a career-high 37.6 percent from deep. In 17 games, Kyrie Irving is averaging 23.0 points, 3.9 rebounds and 5.2 assists while shooting 47.1 percent from the field and 38.4 percent from beyond the arc.

Kyrie Irving Injury Update: Mavs Star Begins ‘Rehabbing Process’ for Return

Irving has missed 11 games this season due to a heel contusion, but Doncic has only missed two – one for the birth of his daughter when the Mavs played the Ja Morant-less Memphis Grizzlies on Dec. 1, and the other on Friday against the Houston Rockets in what could be labeled as a "load management" absence due to Doncic's huge workload in December. The Mavs are 0-2 when Doncic doesn't play.

Doncic will likely make the All-Star Game whether he's voted in as a starter or not, but Irving will probably need some help from Mavs fans' votes if he's going to make it this year.
