Mavs Postgame LISTEN: Dallas Rides 3-Game Losing Streak Into NBA All-Star Weekend

The Dallas Mavericks head into the NBA All-Star break having lost three consecutive games. Can Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving turn things around with a six-game homestand on the horizon?
In this story:

As exciting as it was when the Dallas Mavericks pulled off a blockbuster trade for Kyrie Irving nearly two weeks ago, a sobering three-game losing streak has the vibes around the team in the mud heading into All-Star Weekend.

After winning their first two games with Irving, the Mavs haven’t been able to get back in the win column since Luka Doncic returned from his heel injury. However, with a six-game homestand coming up after having a full week of rest, there are reasons to be optimistic about Dallas’ second-half-of-the-season potential.

On today’s episode of the Mavs Step Back Podcast, we recap the Mavs’ 118-109 loss to the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday night, as well as look ahead to the All-Star Weekend festivities and the winnable stretch of games Dallas has immediately after the break.

Will Doncic and Irving finally get their first win as a star duo against the tanking San Antonio Spurs? Will the return of Maxi Kleber after the break rejuvenate Dallas’ defense? How much of a factor can newly-signed 3-and-D wing Justin Holiday be?
