'Luka Cold As a M*****F*****': Rap Legend Lil Wayne Changes Opinion on Mavs Star

Lil Wayne had some choice words for Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic after he disposed of the Phoenix Suns in the 2022 NBA Playoffs, but "Tunechi" has since changed his tune.
In this story:

During the 2022 NBA playoffs, Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks dismantled Devin Booker and the Phoenix Suns en route to a Western Conference Finals appearance. During that series, there was a controversy sparked by legendary rapper Lil Wayne, who tweeted out, "Luka a h*" while the games were still going on.

Wayne joined the "All The Smoke" podcast recently and was asked if he still felt the same way about Doncic now. It's safe to say that "Tunechi" has officially changed his tune.

“No, man. F*** no," Wayne said. "Luka cold as a m*****f*****. Luka cold as a b****. And with that said, when I tweeted that, I was talking about him with all the crying. He done stopped that and worked on that."

When the Mavs ultimately won the series in blowout fashion, owner Mark Cuban quoted Wayne's tweet with a tongue-in-cheek response containing lyrics from one of his songs. Wayne's response to Cuban's tweet was so NSFW that it was eventually deleted, but the two apparently squashed their beef fairly quickly in the next round when Wayne was sitting courtside during one of the Mavs' WCF games against the Golden State Warriors.

Doncic's ball-dominant style of play might not be for everyone, but if the Mavs' front office will do a better job of building the roster around him going forward, we will see the best version of him and the team next year ... and he'll surely start winning over more celebrities like Lil Wayne as well.
