Two weeks ago, Brovada had the Dallas Mavericks as the betting odds favorite to land controversial forward Draymond Green in a trade if the Golden State Warriors decide to move on from him.

Green, who has missed the Warriors' last nine games due to being suspended for a hostile act committed against Phoenix Suns big man Jusef Nurkic, is averaging 9.7 points, 5.5 rebounds and 5.8 assists while shooting a career-best 42.9 percent from deep.

Now, according to The Athletic's Tim Kawakami, the Warriors might be open to moving on from Andrew Wiggins as well.

“Though I’ve said in the past that the Warriors might be reluctant to trade Wiggins, I’ve since heard that this would not be a major barrier for the Warriors to explore Wiggins’ trade market. Especially if he can’t play with Kuminga and the Warriors decide that Kuminga is their full-time small forward," Kawakami wrote.

With that being said, could the Mavs potentially pull off a trade for both champion forwards? In theory, yes, they could, given that they have the contracts to make it fit, but it would require taking on quite a bit of large, long-term salary. Green, who turns 34 years old in March, will make an average of $25.9 million per year through the 2026-27 season, and Wiggins, who turns 29 in February, will make an average of $28.2 million in that same timeframe.

NBA Trade Idea: Would Draymond Fit with Mavs Alongside Luka, Kyrie?

The luxury tax doesn't seem to be an issue for the Mavs going forward, though, especially with Mark Cuban recently selling his majority stake in the team to Miriam Adelson's family.

“They’re not basketball people, I’m not real estate people. That’s why I did it. I could’ve got more money selling to someone else, obviously I’m really excited, but it’s a great partnership," Cuban said before the Mavs' game against the Cleveland Cavaliers at home on Tuesday. “They basically said do what you gotta do, I want to win.”

Can Mavs Afford Trade for Raptors Star Pascal Siakam?

Money might not be a problem, but the next thing would be for Dallas to determine if pulling off such a trade for Green and Wiggins would be one to put them over the top. Green's skillset as glue guy would certainly come in handy, but you also have to factor in his age versus how much money he has left on his current deal. Wiggins is only 28, but he's taken a big step back this season, avenging 12.7 points and 4.4 rebounds and shooting just 42.4 percent overall and 30 percent from deep.

As the Feb. 8 trade deadline gets closer, there could be some better options on the table, as the Mavs are expected to be a suitor for Toronto Raptors star forward Pascal Siakam according to one insider. Stay tuned to DallasBasketball.com for all Mavs-related trade rumor updates.
