Cameron Thomas was superb in the Nets' win against the Phoenix Suns, scoring 24 points and hitting the clutch-time free throws to put away their opponents. It was a high-pressure situation for Cam, but he had no issues scoring the all-important points to clinch the win for his team.

The hotshot shooting guard has been stellar this season, averaging 23.4 points per game. This performance is usual now, and he is cementing himself as a go-to guy for the Nets alongside Mikal Bridges. Both players can be trusted in the clutch, which makes the Nets even more dangerous.

"They're free throws; I was gonna make those," Cam said in his post-game presser, downplaying the pressure from his free throws. "It's why I'm out there, shooting shots in the mid-range, rhythm shots you know I normally take? They normally go in, and they're not going in right now. Free throws? That's nothing."

Vaughn trusts Cam as a clutch-time scorer

Cam has continued to prove that he's one of the best scorers on the Nets roster. He and Mikal have been the undisputed top guys because they can be relied upon to get the Nets a bucket when needed. Mikal is also averaging 23 points per game, further deepening the team's offensive capabilities.

Mikal has encountered tough defenses in crucial moments this season, but having Thomas as another potent scorer makes the Nets even more formidable, thanks to Coach Jacque Vaughn's strategic approach.

"He continues to learn and accept the coaching and wanna do well for his teammates," Vaughn said about Thomas in his post-game conference. "And for him to get up and make those two free throws at the end speaks a lot."

The Nets continue to be a clutch team

Since the start of the season, the Nets have constantly been involved in close games, requiring some big moments down the stretch. Most of those games had Mikal creating shots for himself, but with Cam ready and healthy, you can sometimes expect coach Vaughn to go with him.

This clutch gene that the Nets have developed will prove valuable as they compete for a spot in the Eastern Conference Playoffs.
