The Brooklyn Nets have become one of the most fun teams to watch in the league. This is mainly because of how they've shaped the culture in the organization, where everyone is focused on getting better. The locker room is a place where everyone holds each other accountable, and that's really making them improve.

Nic Claxton feels this has been a big positive for the Nets as they are playing much better when they take genuine feedback from their teammate, as well as the coaching staff. This is a good sign for the future of the Nets as they already have an organization-wide approach to the game.

“Accountability from top to bottom. JV (Jacque Vaughn) and his staff, they do a really good job at being open, seeing what all the players are thinking and taking to the count,” Nic said. “We come together for a game plan so things that are not working players are not shy.”

Accountability on defense is needed

The Nets haven't been up to par on defense this season, posting a defensive rating of 115.3, which is quite high. This isn't ideal for the Nets, especially considering they have some of the top defenders in the league.

Claxton, Mikal Bridges, Dennis Smith Jr., and Ben Simmons are all elite defenders but their lack of continuity has made them struggle on defense.

Moving forward, the Nets should want to keep defending properly. They have the talent to boot but they need to be more solid with their energy and defensive instincts. Nic already does that within the paint but the rest of the sqad has to improve on this.

The Nets are in the right place with Vaughn and his staff

With coach Jacque Vaughn introducing more accountability to the team, you can expect the Nets to keep performing to a higher standard. Vaughn and his staff should be given more credit for how well the Nets are playing because they put everyone in the right position to succeed.

The coaching staff actively listens to player feedback, greatly enhancing the chemistry in the locker room. Looking ahead, anticipate the Nets maintaining stability, a crucial factor for success in the NBA amidst the challenges faced by many teams.

And the ability to do so for his favorite team, the Brooklyn Nets, is quite special in itself.
