As they did for each game of the first two rounds, the Los Angeles Lakers are listing Anthony Davis as probable for Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals vs. the Denver Nuggets. It is once again a right foot stress injury that has Davis listed, but he is expected to play.

This series will be a rematch of the 2020 Western Conference Finals that the Lakers won in route to a championship. Understanding that this Nuggets team is much better than the one they faced in the bubble, LA knows they have a difficult challenge on their hands.

The Anthony Davis vs. Nikola Jokic matchup will be key, because neither team has faced a player like Davis or Jokic up until this point. For the Lakers, they will have to deal with Davis being moved around defensively and pulled away from the paint, where he has been dominant defensively all postseason. For Denver, not only will they have to account for the defense of Davis, but his unique offensive game as well.

This should be a very exciting series between two teams with championship aspirations. As LeBron James and Anthony Davis made very clear following their series win over the Golden State Warriors, this Lakers group does not feel as if they are playing with house money right now.
