The Denver Nuggets star duo of Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray has been making history this entire postseason run, but it was a different duo that joined Michael Jordan on a historic list in Game 4. With Bruce Brown and Aaron Gordon both finishing with at least 20 points on at least 70% shooting, they became the first duo to accomplish that in an NBA Finals game since Michael Jordan and Horace Grant in 1991.

While this is a very specific stat, it does help illuminate the production Denver has been getting outside of their two stars, who have been historically great. It takes more than just one or two players to win an NBA championship, and what Denver has been getting from their supporting cast this postseason is a massive reason they are just one win away from an NBA title.

Gordon and Brown are two players who were not drafted by the Nuggets, but were picked up at times in their careers when other teams were not heavily pursuing them. This is especially the case for Brown, who was signed by Denver after the Brooklyn Nets made no real attempt to retain him.

If the Nuggets continue to play the way they have played for this entire playoff run, they will have a opportunity to win a championship in front of their home crowd in Game 5.
