Denver Nuggets Sign Intriguing Defensive Prospect
In an official announcement on Wednesday, the Denver Nuggets announced the signing of former Stanford University forward Bryce Wills. In their announcement, the team wrote the following:
"The Denver Nuggets have signed guard Bryce Wills to a contract, General Manager Calvin Booth announced today. In a related move, the team has also requested waivers on Amida Brimah, Au’Diese Toney, and Jamorko Pickett. Wills, 6-6, 200, played in three games for the Denver Nuggets Summer League team in Las Vegas this summer, averaging 5.3 points, 1.7 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 1.3 steals in 12.9 minutes per game. Wills spent three years at Stanford University where he appeared in 78 total games (64 starts) and was named to the Pac-12 All-Defensive Team in 2020 as a junior. He spent the previous two seasons in the G League, appearing in 45 total games (11 starts) between Capital City Go-Go and Grand Rapids Gold, averaging 6.2 points, 4.6 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 25.4 minutes per game."
At 6'6", Wills is an intriguing defensive prospect who earned Pac-12 All-Defensive honors his sophomore year at Stanford. Having played for the Nuggets in summer league, as well as their G-League affiliate, Wills is no stranger to their organization. Looking to impress throughout the rest of camp, the former Stanford forward has a great opportunity in front of him.
