LeBron James Reacts to Facing Denver Nuggets in Conference Finals

The Denver Nuggets are officially facing the Lakers in the NBA Playoffs.

The most unexpected Western Conference Finals has been set in the NBA Playoffs. It's going to be the first-seeded Denver Nuggets facing off against the seventh-seeded Los Angeles Lakers.

Immediately after defeating the Golden State Warriors in the second round, LeBron James was asked about facing the Denver Nuggets in the next round.

"It's gonna be a great series," LeBron James said. "You got two well-coached teams. They been the number one seed in the West all year long. We give them a lot of respect."

No one expected the Los Angeles Lakers to even be in the playoffs after they started the season 2-10. No one expected them to go far in the playoffs after they barely beat the Minnesota Timberwolves in the play-in tournament. Very few even picked them to beat the Memphis Grizzlies in the first round. Despite it all, against all odds, the Los Angeles Lakers are now going against the Denver Nuggets in the Conference Finals - a matchup many were expecting in the first round.

All eyes are on the Denver Nuggets to show if they're truly a legitimate championship team this season. The Nuggets have clearly been the most impressive team in the western conference during the playoffs, but now they've got to get the job done one more time to truly be the best in the west.
