The Denver Nuggets already have a commanding 2-0 lead against the Phoenix Suns, but it looks like they just caught a break as well.

It was revealed by Shams Charania that Chris Paul has a groin strain and will be out for a minimum of three games. Here is the detailed explanation from Charania:

"Groin strain after an MRI for Chris Paul there," Charania said. "Did not look good there. Clearly pulled it, and groin injuries like hamstrings and calves these are soft tissue injuries, they're tough. At his age, his experience level, this is an injury that's going to take some time. He's going to be re-evaluated in one week, the sounds are preparing to be without him for the next three games. Games 3-5. They play Game 5 next Tuesday. It's a brutal loss because Chris Paul he had a tough couple first games of this series but he did make some shots when it mattered."

Paul hasn't been putting up stellar numbers this postseason, but he's certainly had his moments, especially in the series against the Clippers. Currently, he's averaging 12.4 points, 7.4 assists, 5.0 rebounds, and 1.7 steals, on 42/32/50 shooting. With the way things stand, there is a legitimate chance that the Denver Nuggets could end this series against the Phoenix Suns before Chris Paul comes back, and that's what their mindset should be. No messing around from Denver, or it could potentially bite them with a Suns team that has this much talent.

The Denver Nuggets and Phoenix Suns face off for Game 3 at 10:00 pm ET on May 5.
