The NBA has released their Last Two Minute Report for Game 4 between the Denver Nuggets and Phoenix Suns, and it admits one crucial missed call with 27.7 seconds remaining. With the Nuggets down by 3 points, Nikola Jokic and De'Andre Ayton had a jump ball that the NBA admits Ayton fouled Jokic on.

With the two elevating for the jump ball, the NBA says Ayton grabbed Jokic's right shoulder, which affected his ability to compete for the jump ball. It should have been a loose-ball foul on Ayton, but the officials did not blow the whistle.

This was a crucial missed call in a one possession game, as the Suns controlled possession. Jokic was visibly upset after the no-call, and a replay shows exactly what the NBA confirmed to be a missed foul on Ayton.

The Last Two Minute Report is always interesting, because while it does provide some level of accountability, it often just further frustrates the disadvantaged team. In this case, a crucial missed call was admitted, and the Nuggets will have to live with the outcome. While there is no way to confirm if this would have directly impacted the outcome of the game, it was undoubtedly a huge missed call in a one possession game with just 27.7 seconds remaining.

The Nuggets and Suns are now tied 2-2 entering Game 5.
