The NBA has officially released their 2023-24 schedule, and the defending champion Denver Nuggets received a very favorable advantage. As the league has attempted to move away from teams playing three games in four nights, those tough stretches do still exist; however, the Nuggets have the fewest in the NBA next season.

This is a major advantage for Denver, as those three in four stretches are always amongst the most difficult to navigate. Coming off of a championship run that inherently shortens their offseason, it's great that the Nuggets at least have this schedule advantage on their side. The season after a title is always harder than many realize, because there are several new elements in addition to the increased expectations.

Having reached the NBA's pinnacle, the Nuggets not only have all eyes on them, but they will also get every team's best effort next season. This is standard for any defending champion, and is something the Nuggets will experience next season for the first time in franchise history.

With the dominance of Nikola Jokic on their side, many expect the Nuggets to repeat next season, especially when considering how easily they took care of each of their playoff matchups. That said, the NBA season can often be unpredictable, but the Nuggets will look to utilize their lack of three games in four nights to their advantage.
