Nikola Jokic Joins Lakers Legend on Incredible Historic List
Just when you think Nikola Jokic has made enough history throughout his championship NBA playoff run, he found another record to join.
According to ESPN Stats & Info, Nikola Jokic has become the second player in NBA history to average a triple-double in a series-clinching win throughout a single postseason. The only other player to do this was Magic Johnson in 1982 and 1983.
It speaks volumes about Jokic's ability to pass the ball that he's able to join Magic Johnson on any type of list. Johnson is arguably the greatest passer in NBA history and a player that many still consider the greatest point guard ever. Offensively, there's nothing that Nikola Jokic can't do. He can score points with the best of them, rebound with the best of them, post-up, and shoot three-pointers. It's not a coincidence that Jokic is consistently setting breaking records throughout the season, it's not something that happens by chance.
For now, breaking NBA records is the last thing Nikola Jokic wants to do. Jokic doesn't want to be a part of a parade, he doesn't want to take a victory lap from winning an NBA Championship, he just wants to go home and be with his family. Nuggets fans should enjoy Thursday's parade as much as possible, because it may be one of the last times they see Jokic until next season.
