Denver Nuggets head coach Michael Malone has been open about the lack of media coverage his team has gotten throughout this playoff run, especially in relation to the Los Angeles Lakers team that Denver swept. When asked on Friday about his previous comments on media coverage, and if anything will change entering the Finals, Malone said if anybody still talking about the Lakers, that's on them.

"If anyone is still talking about the Lakers, that's on them. They've gone fishing. We're still playing," Malone said.

As previously mentioned, Malone has been vocal about the difference in media coverage between the Nuggets and the Lakers. When asked if that will be the same going forward, his message was clear. While some have criticized Malone for being too concerned about what the media says, his comments have always been in defense of his own players, going to bat for a team he believes should receive media coverage that matches their play.

Denver is currently awaiting the completion of the Eastern Conference Finals, as the Boston Celtics have won two-straight games against the Miami Heat after falling behind 3-0. If Miami wins this series, then the Nuggets will be hosting the Heat in Game 1 of the Finals. If Boston is able to pull off the comeback, then Denver will be flying there for Game 1 of the Finals.
