Denver Nuggets star Jamal Murray was on the Game 6 injury report vs. the Phoenix Suns with an illness, but was able to play in that series-clinching game, leading many to believe it was something that would not carry over into the Western Conference Finals. With the Nuggets releasing their injury report for Game 1 vs. the Los Angeles Lakers, Murray is once again being listed as questionable with an illness.

This is somewhat unexpected, because as previously mentioned, Murray was able to play 35 minutes in Game 6 vs. Phoenix, which seemed to indicate that the illness was not something that would impact his status going forward.

While Murray's listing on the injury report comes as a bit of a surprise, it does seem reasonable to assume that he will be good to go for Game 1, just as he was for Game 6. It is not uncommon for teams to list players on the injury report even if the full expectation is that they will play, especially in the postseason. The Lakers have been doing this with LeBron James and Anthony Davis the entire postseason, listing James and Davis as probable for every game.

With Murray being listed as questionable, an official update on his status will likely come shortly before tip-off, which will be at 5:30 PM PST on Tuesday.
