Denver Nuggets star Jamal Murray was unexpectedly added to the Game 6 injury report on Thursday with a non-covid illness. Initially listed as questionable, Murray is now expected to play. Nuggets head coach Michael Malone said pregame that Murray should be good to go for this pivotal Game 6 matchup vs. the Suns.

The Nuggets currently lead the series 3-2, and are one win away from advancing to the Western Conference Finals. With Game 6 being in Phoenix, the Nuggets will be trying to win their first road game of this series. Neither team has won on the road yet in this series, but the Nuggets will be looking to change that in this one.

In five games this series, Murray is averaging 24.6 PPG, 7.0 APG, and 5.0 RPG. His teammate Nikola Jokic is averaging 35.0 PPG, 13.8 RPG, and 10.0 APG in the series, and has been arguably the best player in the world during this postseason. Denver has needed every bit of this to grab a 3-2 series lead, as Kevin Durant and Devin Booker have been going punch for punch with Jokic and Murray.

The winner of this series will face the winner of the Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors matchup. That series is also 3-2, as the Lakers will look to finish off the Warriors in Game 6.
