After overcoming an ACL injury, Denver Nuggets star Jamal Murray shared an emotional reaction to winning the 2023 NBA Championship. Interviewed at mid-court after the series-clinching victory, Murray spoke on what it meant to overcome such a major injury to reach this point.

"It's just an amazing feeling," Murray said. "Blood, sweat, and tears to get back to this point. Everybody on my team here, everybody on the floor believed in me... We proved a lot of doubters wrong."

While Nikola Jokic has rightfully received most of the recognition for his historically great run, the Nuggets do not win this championship without Murray's special run as well. A playoff riser throughout the course of his career, Murray took it to another level this postseason, turning in incredible performances in route to a title.

The ACL recovery process is extensive and difficult, but Murray stuck with it, and it resulted in himself and the Nuggets winning an NBA championship. Murray was every bit of a superstar during this run, which is especially impressive when looking at his career as a whole. Never an All-Star, Murray does not have the individual accolades that other NBA stars have, but he has more signature playoff moments than a lot of those players.

Now an NBA champion, Murray gets to celebrate in front of his home crowd in Denver.
