Indiana Pacers rookie guard Bennedict Mathurin is serving as a media correspondent for the NBA Finals, the league announced on Wednesday.

Mathurin is joined by Jalen Williams, Paolo Banchero, and Walker Kessler as media correspondents. The four players all made the All-Rookie first team after excellent first campaigns.

Mathurin is in Denver with day one of the NBA Finals being Thursday. He is wearing a yellow pinstripe Jermaine O'Neal jersey as he represents the blue and gold in the Mile High City.

"I felt like the only right way to come today is representing my team," the rookie said of the jersey choice, per the Pacers.

As a part of his duties, Mathurin interviewed various players, including Nuggets guard Jamal Murray, at NBA Finals Media Day. More content from the guard, and the other media correspondents, will be on the NBA App throughout the NBA Finals.

Mathurin averaged nearly 17 points per game as a rookie for the Pacers, which was second among 2022 draftees. The 2022 picks who could participate in the finals are Miami's Nikola Jovic and Denver's Peyton Watson and Christian Braun.

The Miami Heat and Denver Nuggets will begin battling in the NBA Finals tomorrow.
