Rockets Potential Depth Chart After Signing Fred VanVleet, Dillon Brooks

Fred VanVleet and Dillon Brooks give the Houston Rockets a whole new look after signing with the team in free agency.

The Houston Rockets are rocking a whole new look.

In a flurry of moves Saturday, the team made the following trades:

-TyTy Washington, Usman Garuba, two second-round picks to Atlanta Hawks for draft rights to Alpha Kaba

-K.J. Martin to Los Angeles Clippers for two second-round picks

-Josh Christopher to Memphis Grizzlies

After signing Fred VanVleet on Friday, the team added Dillon Brooks, Jock Landale and Jeff Green on Saturday.

In the latest episode of the "Kiss of Death Podcast," host Michael Brown reacts to the latest moves and discusses the potential depth chart for the Rockets next season, assuming they don't make any more major moves.

Here's what the depth chart could look like ...

PG: VanVleet/Thompson

VanVleet is expected to slot in as the starting point guard, while No. 4 overall pick Amen Thompson is set to come off the bench and run the second unit.

SG: Jalen Green/Porter Jr.

Jalen Green retains his starting five spot, but Kevin Porter Jr.'s demotion to the bench could work in his favor, given how strong he and Thompson could be as a duo in the second unit.

SF: Brooks/Whitmore/Tate

After signing a $20 million per year contract, Dillon Brooks mans the starting small forward spot and he'll likely defend the top scoring threat for opposing teams whether he plays in the front or backcourt. Jae'Sean Tate and No. 20 overall pick Cam Whitmore should fight it out in training camp for that backup job.

PF: Smith Jr./Eason/Jeff Green

Last year's No. 3 pick Jabari Smith Jr. is the starting power forward as Tari Eason brings much-needed energy off the bench. Jeff Green acts as an emergency option.

C: Sengun/Landale

Then, at the center spot, Alperen Sengun keeps his starter role after possibly being threatened by signing Brook Lopez away from the Milwaukee Bucks. Jock Landale will get the backup minutes behind him.

The team still needs to add three more players to get to 15, but it isn't expected that the three new adds will ultimately make too much of an impact on what the rotation looks like.
