NBA Power Rankings: Jalen Green Pushing Rockets Higher?

Houston Rockets guard Jalen Green has been strong this past week. Where does that put the team in the latest power rankings?
In this story:

The Houston Rockets escaped a five-game stretch of games only against the Oklahoma City Thunder and Phoenix Suns with a 2-3 record, including a win Saturday on the road.

Saturday's win in Phoenix marked just the sixth time this season the Rockets won a game away from Houston.

The team's efforts across the week, specifically from third-year pro Jalen Green, kept the Rockets at No. 20 in CBS Sports' latest power rankings.

"The Rockets' nine-game losing streak came to an end with Saturday's win in Phoenix, as Jalen Green dropped 34 points and nine rebounds," CBS Sports writes. "It was just a glimpse of what the Rockets need Green to be, on a consistent basis, if they're going to make another leap next season."

Green was the first draft pick of the rebuild and he's been inconsistent throughout the season. But when he's playing well, Green is seen as the player with arguably the highest ceiling on the Rockets roster. The final month or so of the season should be dedicated towards giving him opportunities to shine as much as possible.

NBA Mock Draft: Rockets Add 'Lights Out' 3-Point Threat

Green and the Rockets are back in action tonight against the San Antonio Spurs. Then, the team hosts the Los Angeles Clippers tomorrow night before facing the Portland Trail Blazers (Fri.) and Sacramento Kings (Sun.) on the road.
