The San Antonio Spurs are back in the win column after a 131-127 win against the Washington Wizards on Saturday night at the Capital One Arena.

The win gave the Spurs their eighth victory of the season, placing them one game ahead of the Wizards in the overall standings. After losing the previous night to the Charlotte Hornets, getting a victory required a full team effort ... especially in the fourth quarter.

Down by 11 with less than six minutes to go, the Spurs rallied to the tune of a 25-10 run down the stretch for the victory.

"I could really feel the shift from all of my teammates, me included, in the fourth quarter and it really worked," Victor Wembanyama said. "Everyone was involved getting some stops. Jeremy (Sochan) had a big role."

Sochan made a massive difference for the Spurs as a team-high +27. He scored 23 points in the game, including a go-ahead 3-pointer with under a minute to go.

"We just locked in, became more aggressive," Sochan said. "Those were the two things that helped us to get in the tight game and take the knee."

In a season filled with disappointment and frustration, moments like these that signify positive development come few and far between ... and they should be celebrated when they happen.

The Spurs are back in action tomorrow night against the Philadelphia 76ers. Tipoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. CT on NBA TV.
