NBA Power Rankings: Spurs at Bottom After All-Star Break?

The San Antonio Spurs have won just 20 percent of their games this season. Where does that put them in this week's power rankings?
In this story:

The San Antonio Spurs are out of any kind of playoff race, but Victor Wembanyama has enthralled fans across the globe in his rookie season.

With wins and losses not of paramount importance, the Spurs can put all their focus in Wembanyama's development and finding out which players fit around him.

Because of their 11-44 record with no immediate fix or desire to improve that mark, the Spurs rank 28th in this week's power rankings from CBS Sports, one spot lower than the previous edition.

"Victor Wembanyama has been everything he was billed to be, and then some, and his rapid improvement as the season has gone along is flat-out terrifying," CBS Sports writes. "Throw the record out the window and do whatever you can to maximize this guy's talent moving forward."

Wembanyama and the Spurs have 27 games left to see how much they can grow together as a group before an offseason of shuffling and resorting takes place.

The first of those 27 games comes tonight on the road against the Sacramento Kings to restart the team's "Rodeo Road Trip."

Celtics' Holiday to Spurs in Free Agency?

After a matchup with the Kings, the Spurs head directly to Tinseltown to play LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers on the second night of a back-to-back before traveling to Salt Lake City to face the Utah Jazz on Sunday.
