The San Antonio Spurs are dusting themselves off after a brutal back-to-back that saw the team lose a heartbreaking overtime affair to the Toronto Raptors and a blowout to the Indiana Pacers.

However, the team won two big games before that on the road against the Phoenix Suns, which helps explain their move up two spots in this week's power rankings from CBS Sports. The Spurs now sit at No. 22 after being at 24 in the previous edition.

"The Spurs started the week in impressive fashion, putting up consecutive road wins over the Suns," CBS Sports writes. "They stole the first one -- quite literally -- when Keldon Johnson ripped the ball out of Kevin Durant's hands and soared in for the go-ahead layup, and the next win was marked by Victor Wembanyama's career-high 38 points."

However, there's a reason why the Spurs aren't higher than they could be.

"Things went downhill from there, however, as they blew a 22-point lead in Sunday's overtime loss to the Raptors, and then lost by ... um ... hold on ... still doing the math ... 41 points (!) to the Pacers on Monday," CBS Sports writes. "Wembanyama averaged 22 points, nine rebounds and three blocks for the week on 38% 3-point shooting."

The Spurs are back in action tomorrow night at Madison Square Garden when they play the New York Knicks. Then, the team faces its first In-Season Tournament test on Friday night against the Minnesota Timberwolves before hosting the Miami Heat on Sunday.
