The San Antonio Spurs now hold the Western Conference's worst record after blowing a 29-point lead in a loss to the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday night.

The loss, along with the Houston Rockets' win over the New Orleans Pelicans, has both teams listed at 18-52 in the standings. Given the fact that the Rockets and Spurs have split the season series 2-2, the tiebreaker would be broken at season's end should the two teams remain tied after the final 10 games.

Both the Rockets and Spurs sit 2.5 games ahead of the 16-55 Detroit Pistons, who hold the league's worst record after last year's No. 1 pick Cade Cunningham spent most of the season on the sidelines with a leg injury.

The Pistons, Rockets and Spurs would all hold the same odds for the No. 1 overall pick at 14 percent, but the difference comes in the floor each team holds.

The team with the worst record cannot pick any lower than fifth, while the team with the second-worst record cannot pick any lower than sixth. The third-worst record cannot pick any lower than seventh.

The Spurs may find themselves continuing to slip in the standings with the third-toughest strength of schedule remaining in the league, while the rival Rockets have the 12th-toughest schedule left.

The Spurs' journey to the end of the season continues Sunday against Dejounte Murray and the Atlanta Hawks. Tipoff is scheduled for 3 p.m.
